Community Nursing – Healthcare Across the Whole Population and Lifespan
‘For those of us who provide nursing in the community, we are well aware of the wide range of specialist skills and knowledge needed to care for people and families within their own communities and variety of settings including the NHS, public health, social care, the justice system, the third sector and private sector. ‘
My experience with Specialist Community Heart Failure Nurses
“I knew Community Nursing was for me before I started the nursing degree. When my Granddad’s illness progressed, I saw first hand how being able to receive palliative care at home improved his comfort and the well-being of our family.”
My journey into community nursing
I was born in Kenya and have lived in the UK for 10 years. Health services in Kenya are not free and people have to pay to access medical services. I always think to myself, how lucky are we to have the NHS.
